Who remembers? was a prizewinner in the 2003 Margaret Giordano non-fiction section of the FAW (Tas) Christmas Competitions, but it was originally written as a paper for the Tatlers women’s writing group that I belonged to at the time. Since the theme was ‘Who’, and Dr Who was about to reappear on planet Earth via our television screens later that year, the connection was obvious for a babyboomer who vividly remembers watching the very first Dr Who episode in northern England, on a bleak November evening in 1963!
